Dermapen™ is a microneedling treatment (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy), using a sterile, one usage cartridge of needles in a pen like device. The Dermapen provides a segmented delivery of microneedles, creating micro injuries to the epidermis (outer layer of skin). As a result, the micro injuries encourage the body’s innate ability to repair itself and to produce new collagen and elastin fibres. This collagen synthesis creates smoother, firmer, more radiant and younger looking skin.

The Dermapen™ is used for the treatment of acne scarring, surgery scars, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, pigmentation and sun damage as well as lifting and tightening the skin.

The micro-skin channels created by the micro needles, carry up to 80% more topical nutrients, allowing penetration into the dermis fibroblasts, feeding the cells found in the dermis and basal layers of the skin. This increases the absorption of active ingredients stimulating repair at cellular level and accelerating the regeneration of the epidermal cells.

In our advanced Dermapen treatment we begin with a gentle peel and then use a bespoke mix of mesotherapy products containing epidermal growth factor, hyaluronic acid, amino acids, peptides and vitamins to penetrate into the skin for improved results. After the microneedling, whilst the mask is on, an LED mask will be put over the skin to calm and help heel the skin.

Signs of skin rejuvenation will be seen after 6-8 weeks and will continue for up to a year. 3 sessions at a 4-6 week interval are usually recommended (though results will be seen with one treatment) with a follow up treatment 6-12 months later and then one to two yearly for maintenance.

How is the treatment administered?

Dermapen™ procedures are carried out in a very safe and accurate manner with the use of sterile single-use cartidges. The Dermapen SureSpace™ and SafLok™ patented technologies are why Dermapen is the safest microneedling treatment and achieves the best treatment results. The skin is cleansed and a hyularonic acid gel is applied to the skin. The Dermapen is passed over ths kin to puncture the outer layer. The skin is then cooled and calmed with a mask. While the mask is on, we can microneedle the hands if you would like them done. (There is no extra charge for this).

How will I look after the treatment?
After the treatment your skin will appear red and flushed, similar to moderate sunburn. You will also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity. This will diminish after a few hours and within 48 hours will be completely healed.

How quickly will I see results?

Is the treatment painful?
The microneedling feels slightly scratchy and can be more sensitive around the eyes and lips. The microneedling itself is a very quick process so any discomfort will be kept to a minimum.

Which mesotherapy products do you use in the advanced Dermapen?
We use mesotherapy products from the Juliet Armand Ameson range. The Ameson series includes sterile Mesotherapy products, consisting of either one active ingredient or a cocktail of active ingredients. Your therapist will choose meso products based on your skin concerns.

Can I have this treatment when pregnant?
No you cannot have this treatment during preganancy. Howver, you can have our Skinbreeze microdermabrasion and our RegimA peel which are both advanced facials.

The Non-surgical face lift is tailored to your individual needs and your therapist will use a combination of microcurrent and radio freqency to give you a fully customised face lift. During your facial, we utilise a hydro mask, infused with intensive moisturising and powerful antioxidant ingredients that replenishes sun damaged, dehydrated skin and helps to smooth and soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Treating acne with SSR technology is all about fighting the propioni bacteria that cause the inflammation and reducing the size of the sebaceous glands and the quantity of sebum they produce. Porphyrins (naturally occurring molecules in the inflamed acne) absorb light in the blue wavelength spectrum. When porphyrins absorb light in this wavelength spectrum, heat is produced. The photothermal process releases chemical substances that are able to selectively destroy the propioni bacterium.

It is possible to treat this skin condition cosmetically. This is done by sending a controlled light pulse onto the affected area. The light pulse is absorbed in the dark-red, oxygen-rich blood of the vessel by the haemoglobin and converted into heat. This causes a sudden heating of the vessel, which clots the blood and “welds” the vessel shut. The body’s lymphatic system breaks down the coagulated blood into its constituent parts and transports them away naturally.

Benign skin pigmentations can be treated very efficiently using this technology.This involves exposing excessive pigments to highly energetic intensive pulsed light. The light is absorbed by the melanin (the dark skin pigment in the skin) and converted into heat.The surrounding tissue is neither heated nor destroyed. The conversion of energy into heat causes the pigment to clot; the melanin flocculates and is “drawn” to the epidermis. The pigment change is shed bit by bit in the form of tiny skin flakes.

CryoPen is an advanced cryotherapy innovation that is a fast, effective, safe solution for removal of skin imperfections. The CryoPen emits a fine jet of nitrous oxide under high pressure, which allows the therapist to work with millimetre precision. This destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the
membrane, thereby destroying the cell. The accuracy of the treatment means there will be no collateral damage to healthy tissue. CryoPen offers removal of milia, skin tags, small
areas of pigmentation and cherry angioma. Most of these are removed in one session, however, pigmentation takes three or more sessions.
